Industry Minds is an award-winning, industry-leading mental health charity supporting the creative arts.

Founded in 2018 by Scarlett Maltman and Cathy Read, Industry Minds was created with a simple but important goal: to improve access to mental health support across the creative industries and help break the stigma surrounding mental illness. Today, Industry Minds continues to champion mental health across stage, screen and the wider creatives arts - creating conversations, providing support and bringing the industry together.

Our work is spread across the categories below:

Conversation

  • Podcast. Our award-winning podcast explores mental health within the arts and creative industries. Through honest conversations with industry professionals, advocates and inspiring guests, we aim to break down stigma, raise awareness and remind people that they are not alone.

  • The Industry Minds Awards. Our awards celebrate the individuals, organisations and initiatives making a meaningful difference to mental health across the arts and creative industries.

  • Fundraising & Community Events. Throughout the year, we host events that bring like-minded people together to connect, share experiences and support an important cause. These events are an opportunity to build relationships, raise vital funds, continue conversations around mental health and strengthen the community across the creative industries.

Support

  • Support for Stage & Screen. We provide counselling and mental health support to production companies across stage and screen, offering practical and accessible support for those working in demanding creative environments.

  • Mental Health Seminars & Training. These are designed to help arts organisations build greater awareness, understanding and confidence around mental health in the workplace.

  • Wellbeing Support. We work with organisations and individuals across stage and screen to promote positive wellbeing, provide early support and encourage healthier working cultures within the creative industries.

  • Accessible Therapy. We believe everyone should have access to mental health support, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through Industry Minds, we provide access to free and low-cost therapy for those who need it.
